A filigree natural sapphire ring from the years of the Great Gatsby. 

Here is a typical American ring from the 1920s. It holds a beautiful, natural greenish bluish sapphire as a solitaire. On the left and right, deep blue, calibrated ground sapphires flank the center sapphire and lead over to the narrow 18K white gold ring band. In the side view, delicate ornaments can be seen in a dainty open milgrain cathedral design.
